Job Creators Network Reacts to Weekly Unemployment Claims Report

Washington, DC (October 22, 2020) — New data released by the Department of Labor reveals the number of first-time unemployment claims was 787,000 last week.

Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network (JCN)released the following statement:

“This week, Senate Democrats blocked a vote on Leader McConnell’s $500 billion stimulus bill, which included a renewal of the Paycheck Protection Program. This means the stakes in the November 3rd election just got a lot higher.  President Trump and congressional Republicans are committed to our recovery while Democrats are playing politics, holding our economy hostage to fund a left-wing wish list. If Joe Biden is elected President and is joined by a Democratic majority in Congress, it will send our economy into a depression.  Every small business worker needs to understand this essential fact. George Daniels, the owner of Daniels Manufacturing Corporation in Orlando, recently sent a letter to his employees warning that a Biden presidency would lead to layoffs and touting President Trump’s economic record.  Mr. Daniels should be applauded for his candor and transparency with his employees. Every small business owner should be having the same dialogue with his or her employees, and JCN’s E2E program gives them the tools to do so.”

JCN’s employer to employee education (E2E) program provides small business owners with the tools, materials, and guidance they need to educate their employees about the effects proposed government policies could have on their jobs. To learn more, click here.
