Job Creators Network Reacts to Weekly Unemployment Claims Report

Washington, DC (October 8, 2020) — New data released by the Department of Labor reveals the number of first-time unemployment claims was 840,000 last week.

Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network (JCN)released the following statement:

“As we saw during last night’s debate, there is only one choice for voters when it comes to America’s economic future.  We must continue with the pro-growth policies of the Trump-Pence Administration which created the best economy in history before the pandemic and is now fueling a ‘V-shaped’ recovery.  States that are opening up are seeing their economies come back. States that are shut down or are shutting down again are suffering the most. This is all the more reason why must ‘flatten the fear’ and safely reengage with society. Additionally, President Trump is absolutely correct that Congress must renew the Paycheck Protection Program. $135 billion wasn’t used under the CARES Act but is already there if Congress renews the program. The PPP is one of the most successful government programs of all time – a true bipartisan success story – and yet the Democrats want to cause economic distress because they think it helps them on Election Day.  Outrageous.  That’s why JCN is accelerating our ‘Keep America America’ campaign.  Voters deserve to know how our economy is on the ballot this year.  We need the largest conservative turnout in history to ‘keep America America.’ Our campaign is educating and motivating voters on what’s at stake so that the ideas and principles that made America great will continue for generations to come.”
