Job Creators Network Reacts to Poll Showing AOC’s Constituents Think She Blew It on Botched Amazon Deal

Washington, D.C. (April 10, 2019)— In the latest blow to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s far-left agenda, Siena College released a poll today showing that 58 percent of voters in her district supported the deal that would have brought Amazon to New York. Only 33 percent of AOC’s constituents backed her position, which ended up costing the New York area 25,000 jobs.

Alfredo Ortiz, president and CEO of the Job Creators Network, released the following statement:

“New Yorkers are coming to grips with how divorced from reality Ms. Ocasio-Cortez really is; these poll numbers are no surprise and are a wake-up call for the Democratic Party’s leadership. It’s utterly ridiculous for both her, and her party, to push for a raise in the minimum wage – which would hurt small businesses in New York and across the country – after she killed 25,000 good paying jobs which would have benefited, literally, thousands of middle class families.”
