Job Creators Network Reacts to Pandemic Business Immunity Act in Georgia

Washington, DC (June 26, 2020) — Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network (JCN)released the following statement regarding the Pandemic Business Immunity Act in Georgia:

“Small businesses and their 60 million employees have been hit incredibly hard by the Covid-19 pandemic. Many were forced to shut down for months and even if they could remain open, in many cases revenue and sales evaporated as frightened customers stayed home. In addition to non-existent sales, they’ve had to spend extra money on new expenses related to protecting customers and employees as the economy starts to open back up. These businesses need protection from the army of trial lawyers who are waiting to sue any business possible for Covid-related ‘crimes.’ We appreciate the leadership of Sen. John Albers and support the Georgia Pandemic Business Immunity Act. We hope that Congress will pass something similar at the federal level.”
