Job Creators Network Reacts to Massive BLS Downward Revision of Jobs Numbers
Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement in response to the BLS downwardly revising job creation between April 2023 and March 2024 by 818,00 jobs:
“This dramatic downward revision of job creation confirms what JCN and those on Main Street have long said: the labor market is far weaker than topline numbers suggest and has been dominated by government and quasi-government jobs. This revision puts job creation more in line with the household survey, which we’ve long argued is more accurate because it counts self-employed workers and doesn’t double-count those with multiple jobs. This fuller view of the jobs market nullifies a year’s worth of exaggerated headlines that have helped the Biden-Harris administration present a false picture of economic strength. The real labor market – as this downward revision confirms – is weak and can’t withstand another four years of bad Biden-Harris policies.”
