Job Creators Network Reacts to Jobs Report

Washington, D.C. (February 7, 2020)—Today, the U.S. Department of Labor announced that 225,000 jobs were created in January, with the unemployment rate rising to 3.6 percent.

Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network, released the following statement:

“This week, Speaker Pelosi said ‘President Trump did not inherit a mess—he inherited a momentum.’ She couldn’t be more wrong.  President Trump has the magic wand President Obama said didn’t exist because he has great economic policies. The average unemployment rate under President Trump is lower than under any President in the history of our country.  Under President Trump, wages are continually rising at around 3 percent annually, double the rate under President Obama.  Under President Trump, America has gained about 500,000 manufacturing jobs, while America lost manufacturing jobs under President Obama. There are more than seven million unfilled jobs nationwide, more than the entire number of unemployed workers. The difference couldn’t be more clear, and it’s a shame Speaker Pelosi and the Democrats can’t see that. The party of gloom and doom loses again with this jobs report.”
