Job Creators Network Reacts to CPI Release, Holiday Months Bring Inflation to the Forefront
Washington, DC (December 13, 2022) — Today, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released its Consumer Price Index (CPI) report showing that inflation increased 7.1% year-over-year in November. Core inflation rose 6.0% year-over-year.
Alfredo Ortiz, president and CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement:
“The holidays are always an expensive time of year, and ongoing historic inflation caused by reckless Democrat spending is making the season costlier than ever. Biden has been gaslighting Americans on inflation since it started, but the truth is simple: Unless government spending gets under control, inflation won’t decrease fast enough to provide relief to ordinary Americans and small businesses. It’s up to Congressional Republicans to get the Biden administration back in line, starting by blocking the proposed omnibus legislation and the re-establishment of the expanded child tax credit, which would only reverse the minor progress made on inflation over the last few months.”
