Job Creators Network Reacts to Congressional Budget Office Estimate on True Costs of Democrats’ Build Back Broke Bill

Washington, DC (December 10, 2021) – Alfredo Ortiz, president and CEO of Job Creators Network, issued the following statement regarding today’s Congressional Budget Office estimate that the Build Back Better bill will cost $4.9 trillion:

“Today’s finding by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office that the Build Back Broke legislation will cost $5 trillion confirms previous independent fiscal analyses regarding this bill’s devastating financial impact. While President Biden and Congressional Democrats continue to lie and mislead over the true cost of the bill, there is now no doubt over just how financially ruinous it will be. It threatens to turn America’s debt problem into a crisis. Yet the costs of the BBB extend far beyond these fiscal ramifications. This reckless spending would also spur more painful inflation, which the Bureau of Labor Statistics announced Friday is already at a 39-year high. And it would implement numerous social welfare entitlements that would further reduce the already low labor force participation rate, depressing economic growth and reversing the vaccine-induced economic recovery.”
