Job Creators Network Reacts to Bloomberg Comments About Blacks & Hispanics in the Workplace

Washington, D.C. (February 18, 2020)– In a newly-uncovered 2011 video, presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg said many “black and Latino males” don’t “know how to find jobs” and “don’t know how to behave in the workplace.”

Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network, released the following statement:

“Michael Bloomberg’s disgusting and demeaning comments about young African-American and Latino men bring into crystal clarity the difference between him and President Trump. The President’s economic policies including lower taxes and a rollback of regulations have ignited a jobs and economic boom in this country where more people have good jobs and are taking home more money. Likewise, small businesses – the backbone of the American economy where the most jobs are created – are growing and employing more people with more opportunity to succeed. Small business growth has especially helped minorities and with wages up over 3 percent overall for almost two years now, the President has proven himself to be a man of his word to workers across the board. Today, while Mr. Bloomberg will, again, be apologizing for repulsive comments he made fairly recently, thousands more people will get better jobs and begin making good money as the economy grows; and the same will happen tomorrow, the next day, and the day after that.”
