Job Creators Network Reacts to Biden’s Criticisms of Economic Recovery
Washington, DC (October 30, 2020) — On Thursday, former Vice President Biden said “the recovery is slowing if not stalling; and the recovery that is happening is helping those at the top, but leaving tens of millions of working families and small businesses behind.”
Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network (JCN), released the following statement:
“I am so tired of Joe Biden trying to pass himself off as a friend of small business when nothing could be further from the truth. Between his push for a $15 minimum wage, increasing taxes on successful small business owners, an increase in regulations and bureaucracy and his support of the job-killing Green New Deal, small businesses and their employees will only further be hurt, not helped, in this post-pandemic world. Biden’s criticisms of the recovery are equally ridiculous. We just learned GDP exploded by 33 percent in the last quarter. That is an historic figure, and it’s because the Trump Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program kept small businesses alive during the height of the pandemic and then the President pushed to safely reopen society. All that progress would be destroyed by a Biden presidency. Let there be no mistake: The Biden-Harris ticket is a small business killer.”
