Job Creators Network Reacts to Biden Speech on ‘Bidenomics’
Washington, D.C. (July 28, 2023)—Today, President Biden delivered remarks in Auburn, ME arguing that “Bidenomics” is driving an economic boom. Alfredo Ortiz, President of the Job Creators Network, released the following statement:
“Despite President Biden’s spin today, it’s clear that ‘Bidenomics’ is an economic loser. Exhibit A is his claim around manufacturing jobs. While Biden remarked 800,000 jobs have been created in the sector under his watch, that number is greatly misleading. After controlling for the pandemic, manufacturing employment gains is one-quarter of what he alleges.
In reality, ‘Bidenomics’ is characterized by a cocktail of reckless spending, anti-domestic energy policies, and a growing regulatory state that has triggered historic inflation. While price increases have moderated in recent months, the improvements are not because of but in spite of the White House. Over the course of Biden’s presidency, the cost of goods and services is up 16 percent.
Rather than trying to hoodwink the American people with misleading economic data, the Biden administration should funnel that energy into pursuing an agenda that prioritizes Main Street.”
