“Congratulations to the House Ways and Means Committee and Chairman Smith for passing Republicans’ tax cut bill after a marathon hearing. Tax cuts on small businesses and ordinary Americans are now one step closer. Committee Republicans also successfully pushed back on Democrat misinformation that this bill amounts to tax cut for the rich. Provisions such as expanding the small business tax deduction from 20% to 23%, which JCN has been the leading voice for, and boosting the standard deduction will squarely help middle-class entrepreneurs and workers. JCN calls on the Budget Committee to follow suit and quickly pass the bill.”
