Job Creators Network Opposes Lauren McFerran’s Renomination to the NLRB
Washington, D.C. (December 10, 2024) – Before the Senate Democrats have to relinquish control of the chamber in January, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) is attempting to extend Lauren McFerran’s time on the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
In response, the Job Creators Network (JCN) is helping to educate the public and members of Congress about the dangers of extending McFerran’s tenure at the NLRB. A JCN-produced video outlines the sexist and racist language allowed in the workplace under the current leadership of the NLRB. Watch the video here.
Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of the Job Creators Network, released the following statement opposing the potential renomination of Lauren McFerran:
“With Senator Schumer expected to soon bring the renomination to a procedural vote, it is imperative that Republican senators unanimously oppose the confirmation of McFerran. McFerran has not only endorsed abusive behavior in the workforce so long as it furthers union interests but has supported regulations that harm small businesses and independent contractors. McFerran’s term as Chair of NLRB expires next week. Instead of getting stuck with a Democratic majority on the NLRB, President-elect Donald Trump should have the opportunity to select whomever he sees fit.”
