Job Creators Network Opposes Biden Plan to Cancel Keystone Pipeline
Washington, DC (January 19, 2021) — According to news reports, President-elect Biden will rescind the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline on his first day in office.
Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network (JCN), released the following statement:
“Cancelling the Keystone pipeline will eliminate 20,000-30,000 jobs directly and many more indirectly. These jobs are in Middle America and they belong to hard-working Americans. Biden hasn’t even taken office yet and he’s already forgetting the hard-working men and women of Middle America in order to kowtow to extremists in his own party. This is especially excruciating and painful for small business suppliers as these businesses are fighting for their lives. We are losing hundreds of thousands of jobs every week as businesses shutter from government-imposed lockdowns. We cannot afford this type of political posturing during a genuine economic crisis.”
