Job Creators Network on Debate: Biden and Sanders Completely Ignore Small Business Community…Again

Washington, DC (March 15, 2020) – Tonight, CNN and Univision hosted a debate between presidential candidates Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders.

Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network (JCNreleased the following statement:

“We are in the midst of a true economic emergency, so it is appalling that both Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders completely ignored America’s small business community when discussing what needs to be done to keep our economy running. America’s 90-million-strong small business community is responsible for two out of every three new jobs being created, and they urgently need relief to weather the coronavirus outbreak. President Trump has already called for a payroll tax cut, and while House Democrats didn’t include the tax cut in Friday’s relief bill, we hope the President and Senate Republicans will keep pushing for it. Small business owners are focused on cash flow right now, while Biden and Sanders are focused on enacting far-left policies like repealing the Trump tax cuts, doubling the minimum wage, and a government takeover of our healthcare system (immediately under Sanders, gradually under Biden).  Even a true economic emergency – like the one we’re in now – cannot force the Democrats to rethink their dangerous, destructive policies.”
