Job Creators Network Launches Multi-Million Dollar Campaign Supporting Tax Cuts Now

Major small business tax cut initiative includes bus tour with Washington rally as well as TV, print, radio and digital advertising, and a website, petition, advocate videos, and national poll

Atlanta—Today the Job Creators Network (JCN) launched a new multi-million dollar advocacy campaign calling for small business tax cuts now. The campaign will highlight how tax cuts would give long overdue relief to hardworking taxpayers and how this would boost wages, jobs, and the overall economy. The campaign will urge lawmakers to pass a tax cut bill by Thanksgiving and make it retroactive to the start of this year.

The campaign has numerous facets including:

Bus Tour With an Event in Washington: JCN will be traveling the country on its branded Tax Cuts Now Bus making the case for small business tax cuts. Locations so far include Oklahoma City and Tulsa, OK; Louisville and Frankfort, KY; and Blacksburg, VA. On September 15th, the bus will come to Washington D.C. for a big event to coincide with the Q3 tax filing deadline for small businesses. The event will feature small business owners, JCN officials, selected legislators, and tax cut leaders like Stephen Moore.

TV, Print, Radio, and Digital Advertising: JCN will publicize the need for tax cuts with an in-depth TV, print, radio, and digital advertising buy. Commercials will run in the D.C. market of cable news stations CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC. Radio ads will play in heavy rotation on major conservative talk shows including Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and Mike Gallagher. Print ads will run in the D.C. edition of the Wall Street Journal and The Hill. Digital ads will appear nationwide.

Devoted Website Housing Advocate Videos, Petition, Letter to Congress: JCN has created the website TaxCutsNow.com, which houses a tax cut petition, letter to Congress, videos by small business advocates explaining why tax cuts are needed, the locations of the bus tour, and highlights of the campaign.

The campaign will also highlight a recent JCN national poll of small business owners which found that most respondents would use their tax cut savings to raise wages, hire new employees, and expand.

JCN had a recent op-ed in USA Today co-signed by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich highlighting the political and policy implications of tax cuts. Read it here.

Alfredo Ortiz, JCN President and CEO, released the following statement:

A tax cut for small businesses and American families is long overdue. In order to generate the support necessary to pass tax cuts now and provide hardworking taxpayers with some relief, the public must understand the benefits of tax cuts including higher wages, more jobs, revitalized Main Streets, and a better economy. JCN’s Tax Cuts Now campaign provides this ammunition that is necessary to win the tax cut fight.
