Job Creators Network Hits Netflix for Liberal Bias, Labels Streaming Company “Demflix”

AOC Documentary & Obama Project Latest Evidence of Bias, JCN President Charges in Letter to Netflix President

Washington, D.C. (May 1, 2019)—Today, Netflix is releasing its new documentary, Knock Down the House, which glamorizes Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and three other House Democrats.  This week, Netflix also announced the first slate of projects it is producing with former President Obama and his wife Michelle. With Netflix continuing to provide a platform for Democrats and socialists, Job Creators Network sent a letter to Netflix President Reed Hastings and other members of Netflix management calling for political balance in their content.  JCN President and CEO Alfredo Ortiz urged Netflix to work with JCN on content that will give the capitalist perspective on issues of the day.

“It’s no wonder that many capitalists are boycotting Netflix, and that was before Knock Down the House was released,” Ortiz said in his letter. “According to a 2018 YouGov poll, Republicans gave Netflix an ‘impression’ rating of 41.8, considerably lower than Democrats, which gave your company a 62.8 score.  Given these trends, Netflix might soon become known as ‘Demflix.’”

“The debate over capitalism versus socialism is growing every day; yet, Netflix is telling only one side of that story,” Ortiz continued.  “Will you join us in telling both sides?  Our 200,000 members would love to know your answer.”
