Job Creators Network Hits Biden & Congress for Letting Restaurant Revitalization Fund Expire

Washington, DC (July 14, 2021) — Today, the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) officially expired and will no longer provide funding to restaurants recovering from the pandemic.

Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network (JCN), released the following statement:

“For weeks, we’ve been urging President Biden and Congress to renew the RRF before it expired.  Today, it officially expired with no plans to renew it. The SBA was able to provide grants to 101,004 businesses. However, more than 177,000 restaurants and bars did not receive much-needed relief and remain on the brink of permanent closure. Thankfully, there is still time to help America’s restaurants and bars. Just because the RRF lapsed doesn’t mean Congress and the Administration can’t take action.  When PPP funding ran out last year Congress came together in a bipartisan way to restore it. This is the perfect opportunity to show leadership and President Biden should publicly demand that Congress restore RRF funding and he should do it today.”
