Job Creators Network Foundation Produces New Video Highlighting the Value of Work and an Entrepreneurial Spirit

“Need to reform government-offered programs so they act as a temporary hand-up rather than a prolonged hand-out…”

Washington, D.C. (March 6, 2023)—Today, the Job Creators Network Foundation released a new educational video highlighting the importance of restoring dignity to the American labor force. Titled “America Works Because America Works,” the video drills down on the value of having a driven populace that values an honest day’s work and entrepreneurial spirit that fosters innovation.

The video argues that policymakers “need to reform government-offered programs so they act as a temporary hand-up rather than a prolonged hand-out that results in dependency.” It goes on to say, “In practice, that means, one, refraining from offering broad government giveaways. Two, tying work requirements to government assistance programs for able-bodied people. And three, promoting trade and technical schools that provide skills-based education as viable paths to achieving the American Dream.”

JCNF regularly works with small business owners across the country to amplify their perspective to educate the media, policymakers, and the public. As of late, these entrepreneurs have had a difficult time finding enough workers to fill open positions—a labor shortage that threatens the small business powerhouse of the U.S. economy. The problem is notably visible within the restaurant industry, which has yet to fully recover to pre-pandemic job levels.

Elaine Parker, President of the Job Creators Network Foundation, released the following statement:

“The policies of the Biden administration are killing the American work ethic—and the small business community is facing an uphill climb because of it. Following the pandemic-era where the government shutdown businesses and paid people not to work, businesses are having a difficult time filling open positions—an environment that is compromising operations. At the same time, entrepreneurs are having to navigate more than six percent inflation with a consumer base fatigued of price increase. As this video argues, to get the economy back on track, the government needs to get out of the way and we need to restore the dignity of work.”

This is the second in a series of videos produced by JCNF highlighting the miracle of America and how we can preserve it. Watch the first video here.
