Job Creators Network Encourages Americans to “Shop Small” on Small Business Saturday

Washington, DC (November 26, 2022) — Today is Small Business Saturday, the shopping holiday held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving to support small businesses during one of the busiest shopping periods of the year.

Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement:

“As everyone is busy doing their holiday shopping this Saturday, we urge all Americans to be conscious of where they’re spending their money, and to support their local small businesses. The state of the economy has been hard on everyone, and it is especially hard on small businesses. Compared to larger chain stores, small business margins are much tighter, and their costs are higher without benefits like preferential pricing, bulk ordering and transportation deals. Our latest Small Business IQ poll found that 56% of small businesses still feel threatened that economic conditions could force them out of business. By participating in Small Business Saturday and encouraging your friends and family to do the same, you can get the holiday gifts you need while giving struggling small businesses the gift of staying open and keeping their payroll flowing over the holidays. You can’t go wrong when supporting small business.”
