Job Creators Network Condemns AOC’s Comments on 9/11 as “Shameful,” Sick”

Washington, D.C. (March 30, 2019)—Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) called for more urgency to address climate change on Friday, comparing its impact on Americans to the tragedy of 9/11.

Alfredo Ortiz, president and CEO of the Job Creators Network, released the following statement:

“Comparing the 9/11 terrorist attack, one of the worst attacks on American soil in our history, to climate change is shameful, offensive and ignorant.  It shows no compassion or concern for the 9/11 victims and their families and is incredibly disrespectful to our men and women in the military serving all over the world, making the ultimate sacrifice. Using death and destruction, be it from weather disasters or from terrorist attacks and war, is simply sick and outrageous. AOC should apologize immediately.”
