Job Creators Network Calls For End to Reckless Government Spending as National Debt Hits $30 Trillion

Washington — Alfredo Oritz, president and CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement on the national debt reaching $30 trillion:

“This astronomical and unpayable debt is a result of decades of out-of-control and wasteful spending by both parties. As a result, the country is in a precarious fiscal position that is about to get far worse as interest rates rise. Net interest on the debt will begin to crowd out routine spending that ordinary Americans and small businesses rely on, threatening the American way of life. Both parties are responsible for saddling the nation with this outrageous debt, but Democrats’ big-spending proposals threaten to make the burden even worse and interest payments even higher. As the nation passes $30 trillion of debt, both parties must commit to no more reckless federal spending that steals resources from future generations.”
