Job Creators Network Applauds Signing of Phase One Trade Agreement with China

Washington, D.C. (January 15, 2020)— Today, President Trump and Chinese Vice Premier Liu signed a phase one trade agreement, a breakthrough in trade negotiations between the two countries.

Job Creators Network President Alfredo Ortiz released the following statement:

“A new year, a new economic achievement for President Trump!  The President’s trade strategy with China is clearly working, despite the naysayers.  For nearly 18 months, left-wing pundits predicted economic calamity as President Trump turned up the heat on China. The President understood that America’s booming economy – fueled by his tax cuts and pro-growth policies – gave us critical leverage in these negotiations.  We’re seeing the results today, with the signing of a phase one agreement in which China will purchase $200 billion in US products over the next two years. This is great news for America’s small business community, who represent 98 percent of US exporters. We’re also excited by the USMCA, another landmark deal negotiated by President Trump that is expected to earn Senate approval soon.  The best US economy in 50 years has plenty of room to run.”
