Job Creators Network Applauds Senate Republicans for Stopping Freedom to Cheat Act & Pelosi Power Grab

Washington, DC (January 19, 2022) – Today, the Senate failed to advance the Freedom to Cheat Act and the Pelosi Power Grab, as Senate Republicans voted against the bill.

Alfredo Ortiz, JCN President and CEO, released the following statement:

“This is now the second time during the 117th Congress that Senate Democrats have tried to pass these dreadful ‘voting rights’ bills and thankfully Senate Republicans have once again stood in their way. Leader Schumer is now trying to pass these bills by breaking the filibuster – a doomed effort, but one that shows how important these bills are to the Democrats’ prospects. Democrats remain outraged that states like Georgia, Florida and Texas have passed their own election reform laws making it easy to vote and hard to cheat. The Democrats’ outrage machine over these state-led efforts has caused extensive collateral damage, with MLB’s decision to move the All-Star Game out of Georgia being the best example.  JCN sued MLB on behalf of Georgia small businesses who lost about $100 million in revenue because of the Democrats’ outrage machine. Democrats should focus on the issues Americans truly care about, with inflation and weak employment growth being at the top of the list.”
