Job Creators Network Applauds Senate Budget Committee Vote to Send Tax Bill to Senate Floor

Sen. Johnson’s call for increased small business tax deduction would do even more good for small business job creators

Washington, D.C. – The Job Creators Network (JCN) applauded today’s key Senate Budget Committee vote to send the Senate tax bill to the Senate floor for a vote. This vote is a vital next step in providing hard-working taxpayers with tax relief.

JCN also praised Sen. Johnson’s call to increase the bill’s small business tax relief from the 17.4 percent small business tax deduction originally proposed.  This bigger small business tax deduction would give small business job creators even more tax relief, which they would use to hire, raise wages, and expand. JCN has supported the current Senate bill, but has also advocated for the small business tax deduction to be increased.

JCN President and CEO Alfredo Ortiz released the following statement:

Sen. Johnson’s committee vote is a key next step in bringing long overdue tax relief to hardworking Americans and small businesses. We also support his call to increase the bill’s small business tax deduction, making the bill even better for our nation’s 29 million small business owners and the nearly 56 million hard-working Americans they employ. This will allow entrepreneurs to keep even more of their earnings to create jobs, raise wages, and expand. All senators must now follow Sen. Johnson’s lead, rally behind this bill, and pass tax cuts now.
