Job Creators Network Applauds President for USMCA Deal

Washington, DC (November 30, 2018) – The Job Creators Network today cheered President Trump’s new trade agreement with Mexico and Canada, which the group says will create more opportunities for American small businesses.

“Most observers are focused on automobiles and agriculture, but they need to remember that for both of those industries, small businesses make up a big part of the supply chain,” said Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO. “Thousands of small businesses and millions of employees benefit when America exports more cars, trucks, equipment, and agricultural products.”

The new deal is a triumph for the President, said Ortiz, who was criticized by many international and financial experts for his tough tactics, including the use of tariffs.

“They don’t understand business and they don’t understand leverage,” said Ortiz. “President Trump knew that unless we got tough with our trading partners, they had no incentive to come back to the negotiating table.”

Ortiz predicted similar successes in Europe, Asia and elsewhere as a result of the President’s no-nonsense strategy.

“Wall Street may be nervous, but Main Street is glad that we have a president who is willing to be tough when it comes to defending American businesses and American jobs,” he said.
