Job Creators Network Applauds House Passage of PPP Extension

Washington, DC (March 17, 2021) — On Tuesday night, U.S. House approved a 60-day extension of the Paycheck Protection Program that helps small businesses stay afloat during the pandemic. The new deadline is May 31. The House approved the extension on a 415-3 vote.

Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network (JCN)released the following statement:

“The PPP is one of the most successful government programs in history – saving at least 51 million jobs – and a program that both parties can be proud of. JCN has been leading the fight for more changes to the program, including extending the PPP deadline, which is currently March 31st.  We are glad the House is listening to JCN, passing a 60-day extension of PPP loans.  We appreciate the House members in both parties who voted for the extension.  We encourage the Senate to consider the House bill as soon as possible.  Let’s make this the first big bipartisan win of 2021!”
