Job Creators Network Applauds House Passage of Coronavirus Rescue Package
Washington, D.C. (March 27, 2020)— Today, the U.S. House passed an emergency rescue package to keep the economy afloat during the coronavirus outbreak.
Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network, released the following statement:
“Job Creators Network is grateful to the members of the House for approving the Senate’s economic stimulus plan and sending it to President Trump for his signature. The legislation will bring much-needed relief to small businesses that are struggling to deal with the coronavirus crisis. This isn’t a bailout for small business and its employees; it’s a lifeline. We wish to thank lawmakers in both chambers and in both parties who’ve come together to help America’s small businesses – the engine of our economy – to stay on the road to prosperity and growth. The legislation is a solid start, but there’s more to do. As lawmakers consider future additional measures, if needed, JCN will continue advocating for a targeted payroll tax cut – good through the end of the year – for businesses and employees with no more than a hundred workers. This relief will bolster both employers and workers during this medical crisis.”
