Job Creators Network Applauds Florida’s Universal School Choice Program, Calls on Georgia to Follow Suit
Alfredo Ortiz, president and CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement on Florida’s passage of universal school choice:
“Florida has maintained its position as a national leader in school choice with the passage of a universal school choice program. Along with Arkansas, Arizona, Iowa, Utah, and West Virginia, Florida now allows all children to escape failing schools and choose the best education options for their unique circumstances. Rather than the top-down, teacher union-dominated model that’s left a generation of kids behind, voucher programs like Florida’s unleash a bottom-up, competitive education system that actually provides students with the skills they need to succeed. Georgia, which is currently considering similar school choice legislation, should quickly join this train of innovative states offering learning lifelines for their students.”
