Job Creators Network Applauds Expansion of Buy American

Washington, D.C. (January 31, 2019)— In response to President Trump signing today’s Buy American order, the following statement may be attributed to, Alfredo Ortiz, JCN President and CEO.

We applaud the President for his expansion of the Buy American program. The days of job creators having to endure a business climate of high taxes, excessive regulations and astronomical energy prices are over thanks to his leadership. The growth killers of the past have been replaced with investment opportunities, trade deals that make America more globally competitive and de-regulation that continues to bring more and more jobs home where they belong.

When you contrast the last two years of the Obama administration, when a mere 73,000 manufacturing jobs were created, with the fact that in the first two years of the Trump administration we have already seen an increase of 473,000 jobs in the same sector,  it is truly remarkable. By signing today’s order, President Trump is doubling down on his promise to ensure that homegrown materials will be used on as many domestic projects as possible. This will no doubt spur even further job creation in America and continue the consistent expansion of the manufacturing sector.
