Job Creators Network Applauds Arizona Gov. Ducey for Requiring In-Classroom Instruction by March 15
Washington, DC (March 3, 2021) — Today, Arizona Governor Doug Ducey is issuing an executive order requiring schools to get back to teacher-led, in-person instruction by March 15, or after Spring Break.
Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network (JCN), released the following statement:
“Governor Ducey is showing the kind of leadership that we need from every Governor in America. Ducey is a former co-chair of JCN’s governors committee, so we know firsthand that he has the principles and leadership skills to get things done. President Biden, unfortunately, is not showing the same kind of leadership when it comes to reopening schools. Biden’s own CDC Director said it’s safe to reopen schools. Yet Biden won’t demand that teachers return to the classroom because he’s afraid of the unions. That’s why JCN launched NoSchoolJoe.com — a webpage that details the Biden Administration’s failure to reopen schools, despite the overwhelming data showing that it’s safe. As part of the campaign, JCN erected a billboard in the heart of Times Square to blast Biden’s decision to side with the special interests ahead of our children. Governor Ducey deserves tremendous credit for standing up to the teachers’ unions and holding them accountable. Now if we can just get President Biden to do the same.”
