JCN to Run Tax Cuts Commercial Featuring JFK During NFL Sunday

Washington, D.C. (January 10, 2025)–On Sunday, the Job Creators Network (JCN) will be running a commercial in the Washington, D.C. market calling on Congress to make the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act permanent as soon as possible. The spot—which features President John F. Kennedy—will run during the Washington Commanders/Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFL game.

JFK strongly advocated for tax cuts during his time in the Oval Office. In his own words, “Tax rates are too high today and tax revenue is too low. And the soundest way to raise the revenues in the long run is to cut the rates now.” With the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act scheduled to expire at the end of the year, federal policymakers should follow his advice and prioritize tax cuts now. If Congress doesn’t act, America’s small businesses will face what is effectively a tax hike.

Alfredo Ortiz, JCN Chief Executive Officer, released the following statement:

“Following passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in 2017, the economy roared with small businesses hiring more people, raising employee wages, and expanding operations. As the law is set to expire, it’s time for Congress to act in order to build upon that prosperity and pass tax cuts now. Policymakers should not only quickly work to extend the provisions but look for opportunities to expand it—such as increasing the small business tax deduction from 20 percent to 25 percent. As President Kennedy taught us, small business tax cuts are not a partisan issue. It’s a win-win policy that both Republicans and Democrats should get behind.”
