JCN Launches Revamped Website to Support Extending the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act
Washington, D.C. (July 24, 2024)—Today, the Job Creators Network (JCN) launched the newly revamped website, TaxCutsWork.com. The website collects stories from small business owners—as well as individuals—about how the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act has benefited operations, and notably their employees.
Going a step further, the portal asks visitors what it would mean if the legislation were to disappear. Visit TaxCutsWork.com here.
The website also houses a video library. It includes small business owner profile videos where entrepreneurs chronicle how the tax cuts have specifically benefited their businesses, as well as educational videos that explain the ins-and-outs of tax savings for Main Street. Additionally, the website debunks some of the most common myths spread about the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act.
“The tax cuts legislation passed during the previous Trump administration brought prosperity to Main Street and triggered one of the strongest economies in half a century,” said JCN Chief Executive Officer Alfredo Ortiz. “But that economic catalyst is in jeopardy because Democrats are threatening to let the law expire. With the Senate, House, and presidency up for grabs, tax cuts will be on the ballot in November.”
Background:
The 2017 Tax Cuts & Jobs Act is federal legislation that cut taxes for American families and businesses big and small, resulting in one of the strongest pre-pandemic economies in half a century. The law not only provided Main Street with extra cash to hire new employees, enhance the customer experience, and expand staff benefits, but its measures incentivized R&D and capital investment to grow operations.
Now, the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act is approaching its expiration date. If policymakers don’t act to extend the law by the end of 2025, Americans and small businesses will experience a tax hike.
