JCN BLASTS YELLEN’S CRADLE-TO-GRAVE GOVERNMENT AGENDA

Today, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen defended the Biden Administration’s economic agenda at a U.S. Chamber of Commerce event.

Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network (JCN), released the following statement:

“Secretary Yellen laid out a fundamentally unAmerican vision for the American people – using the $1.8 trillion American Families Plan to create a cradle-to-grave system of government control over individual Americans and our entire economy.  Yellen claimed the Biden Administration’s program would be paid for by the top income earners, large corporations and tax avoiders, which is pure demagoguery.  A program of this size will be paid for by those who can least afford it: small businesses, the middle class, and our children who will be stuck with the debt.  Yellen’s insistence that climate change is an ‘existential threat’ is also a dereliction of duty. As Treasury Secretary, she is responsible for fiscal and monetary issues – not climate change. If Yellen and President Biden get their way, we will have a redux of the Carter Administration – higher taxes, more spending, more inflation, and a weaker America.”
