JCN Announces Hispanic Voter Activation Events Ahead of Election
Washington, D.C. (September 10, 2024)—Today, the Job Creators Network (JCN) and its Hispanic Vote Coalition announced a series of Hispanic Voter Activation Events aimed at bolstering the Hispanic vote ahead of the upcoming election. The events will educate leading organizers, small business owners, and church pastors and arm them with the tools needed to activate members of their respective communities to vote.
Hispanic Voter Activation Events schedule:
- Washington, D.C.; September 11
- Las Vegas, NV; September 21
- Allentown, PA; October 12
- Washington, D.C.; October 15
Event attendees will coordinate Get Out the Vote activities, share the latest information about key issues, and learn about the Coalitions’ latest Hispanic voter activation tool, a new Spanish-language website, VotamosValores.com, which translates to “We Vote Values.”
The innovative website provides easy access for Hispanic organizers and voters in specific states and nationwide to register to vote, check their voter registration, request mail ballots, and learn about critical election deadlines.
Hispanic voters are highly likely to determine the outcome of this election. So, it is essential that Hispanic voters be reached with messages on the issues that most impact their communities, and by messengers who understand their values. To that end, the website also provides information about the economy and inflation, issues that disproportionally affect Hispanics in America.
More broadly, the Hispanic Vote Coalition launched in April and is made up of Hispanic-led organizations including JCN, the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, and Bienvenido. The goal is to engage, inform, and encourage Hispanic voters to harness their immense power by registering them and getting them out to vote for the values they believe in—faith, family, and freedom.
“Hispanics can no longer sit on the sidelines while our values and the very foundation of our economic freedoms are under attack,” said Mary Thomas, executive director of the Hispanic Vote Coalition. “High taxes, continued high inflation, and a sinking economy are hurting Hispanics in America. We are engaged in a spiritual battle, as well as a battle to save the American Dream, and the Hispanic community must seize their constitutional duty as citizens, Christians, and hardworking Americans to vote in this election.”
“Today more than ever, Hispanics have the opportunity to change the course of the history of this country that has been a blessing, refuge and opportunity for us and our generations. The time has come to raise our voice in the right way, without violence and without breaking the law, but rather voting in favor of our family and Biblical principles and values that characterize us. Let us use the tools that the Job Creator Network and the Hispanic Voting Coalition are giving us,” said Pastor Camilo Perez, Senior Pastor at Strong Tower Christian Center.
