Democrats Push $3.5 Trillion Socialist Budget that Wages War on Small Businesses, Job Creators Network Reacts

Washington, D.C. (August 9, 2021) – Today, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer released an outline for the Democrat’s $3.5 trillion budget framework.

Alfredo Ortiz, president and CEO of Job Creators Network, releases the following statement:

“Democrats’ $3.5 trillion budget would implement new cradle-to-grave entitlements, tax credits, and costly energy mandates, amounting to a dramatic escalation in Democrats’ war on small businesses. This unprecedented spending would be partly paid for by significant tax increases on businesses, including small businesses. The Job Creators Network Foundation Monthly Monitor poll finds only 10 percent of small businesses have recovered from the pandemic. The taxes, regulations, and spending in this bill would prevent more small businesses from returning to pre-pandemic levels and bringing the economy back. This reckless spending would further bankrupt the country and exacerbate already-high inflation that is subjecting workers to a “Biden pay cut” in the form of reduced real wages. Democrats are trying to leverage their slimmest of majorities to pretend they have the mandate to achieve Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s socialist vision where the government controls the resources of small businesses and ordinary Americans. To keep America America, this bill cannot become law.”
