Consumer Price Index Surges, Job Creators Network Reacts

Washington, DC (September 14, 2021) – The Labor Department’s Consumer Price Index, which measures a basket of goods and services as well as energy and food costs, jumped 5.3 percent in August from a year earlier. This is a continuation of an inflation trend that’s fastest in 13 years.

Alfredo Ortiz, Job Creators Network President and CEO, released the following statement:

“Inflation continues to surge, thanks to the Democrats’ reckless spending. The consequence is the ‘Biden pay cut,’ with prices rising faster than wages. Incredibly, the Democrats want to spend an additional $3.5 trillion on ‘human infrastructure’ – a disastrous idea that will send inflation even higher. President Biden and the Democrats are doing irreparable harm to our economy.  That’s why JCN is continuing our Bring Small Businesses Back Bus Tour: to educate and motivate Americans about the economic policies coming out of Washington. We’ve visited four states in seven days, and we will be on the road for another month as the debate over our economic future gains steam.”

FoxBusiness.com recently published Mr. Ortiz’s op-ed, Joe Biden has just given you a pay cut, America. Get ready for more. To read it, click here.

Today, JCN continued its national Bring Small Businesses Back Bus Tour with an event in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Covering at least seven states over four weeks, the BSBB bus tour consists of events with Members of Congress and local small business leaders and is part of JCN’s seven-figure BSBB campaign. To see photos of the bus and the full bus tour schedule, click here.
