Job Creators Network: “President Biden could have united America behind a bipartisan economic platform. Instead, he chose to peddle fiction.”

February 7, 2023 — Alfredo Ortiz, president and CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement today in response to President Biden’s State of the Union address:

“During the State of the Union address, President Biden could have united America behind a bipartisan economic platform. Instead, he chose to double down on discredited big government proposals to try to cover up the consequences of his failed policies. His rosy economic rhetoric doesn’t reflect the daunting reality facing millions of American workers and small businesses who are deeply concerned about the direction of our economy.

“If President Biden truly wanted to restore our economic engine and empower small businesses, he has a turnkey solution at his disposal – it’s called the American Small Business Prosperity Plan (ASBPP).

“The ASBPP calls for making the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act permanent, unleashing domestic energy production, enacting healthcare reform to benefit small businesses and families, exempting small businesses from new regulations, reining-in government spending to combat high inflation, expanding access to capital for small businesses, backing dignity of work requirement for recipients of government assistance, and getting tough on China to unclog obstructed supply chains.

“American small business owners and workers need bipartisan action, not political theater.”
