ALERT: GDP GREW 6.4% IN 1st QUARTER, FIRST-TIME JOBLESS CLAIMS HIT 553,000 JCN REACTS

Today, the Bureau of Economic Analysis announced that Gross Domestic Product (GDP) rose 6.4 percent in the first quarter of 2021. Additionally, the Department of Labor revealed the number of first-time unemployment claims was 553,000 last week.

“GDP is surging because the number of vaccinations is surging,” said Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network (JCN). “At the start of the year, the number of Americans who received the vaccine was negligible. Today, half of adults have received at least one shot and roughly 1 in 3 are fully vaccinated. President Biden will take credit for today’s report but the real credit belongs to the previous administration who launched Operation Warp Speed. The President was plain and clear about his agenda in last night’s address to Congress – it’s a ‘war on small business’ – filled with tax hikes, a doubling of the minimum wage, onerous regulations, and a government takeover of our healthcare system. Millions of jobs will be lost if the President gets his way.  America will be fundamentally changed by the Biden agenda, going from a capitalist country to a socialist one.  JCN has – and will continue – to oppose this agenda every step of the way.”
