916,000 JOBS ADDED IN MARCH, UNEMPLOYMENT RATE FALLS TO 6.0%, JOB CREATORS NETWORK REACTS

Today, the U.S. Department of Labor released its monthly jobs report. The US economy added 916,000 jobs in March and the unemployment rate fell from 6.2% to 6.0%.

“Led by small businesses, America’s recovery is picking up speed,” said Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network (JCN). “With lockdowns easing and vaccine distribution ramping up, small businesses are reopening and consumer demand is surging. However, the long-term economic outlook remains murky. That’s because President Biden is calling for the largest tax increase in American history. Biden’s tax plan is a dagger in the heart of small businesses who are finally getting breathing room after one of the toughest years in history. JCN led the fight for tax cuts in 2017, and we will lead the fight against Biden’s tax increases. This week, we placed a 3-in-1 digital billboard in the heart of Times Square highlighting Biden’s failure on taxes and other issues. Biden’s tax-and-spend policies are a redux of Jimmy Carter, and the consequences for our economy would be terrible. We should leave the 1970’s in the past.   Instead, let’s empower small businesses because they are the engine of our prosperity.”

Today, the Washington Times published Mr. Ortiz’s op-ed, Biden’s tax hikes will hit small businesses. To read it, click here.

This week, JCN placed a 3-in-1 digital billboard in the heart of New York City’s Times Square highlighting three areas President Biden inadequately addressed or ignored in his first press conference last week. The billboard cycles through three designs covering job loss, tax hikes and schools reopening.
