Kathleen Shanahan is a successful businesswoman with a distinguished background in business, politics, and public service. She serves as CEO and Chairman of Florida based URETEK Holdings, Inc., which specializes in safe and cost-effective foundation lifting and soil stabilization solutions.
Kathleen was Chairman and CEO of WRScompass which grew significantly under her leadership between 2005 and 2011. Prior to her executive experience, she was a senior consultant to former NYSE CEO John Thain, as well as senior executive of public and community affairs at PaineWebber. Kathleen has also held federal and state public policy positions of chief of staff.
Her awards include the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Inaugural Community Leader Award at the 2012 Business Woman of the Year gala, the Governor’s Business Leader Award in 2011, and the Foundation for Excellence in Education’s Arts for Life! Guardian of the Arts Award in 2010.
Kathleen received her undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego and a MBA from the New York University Stern School of Management.
